Over 50% of Surveyed AEC and Manufacturing Companies to Adopt Real-Time 3D Tech
According to Forrester Consulting and the latest research conducted on the matter of adopting technologies such as real-time 3D tech. Over 50%, specifically 55% of surveyed organizations in the domain of manufacturing and AEC declared that they are planning to adopt 3D technology in the course of the next two years. By far, only 19% of companies in construction has gone forward with adopting real-time 3D tech. What is more than a positive result in the case of tech adoption in the sector of AEC is the fact that over 94% of companies that already adopted 3D tech stated that they are planning an expansion of technology usage.
Benefits of Real-Time 3D Tech Adoption in AEC Sector
The sector of AEC, heavily fragmented and in need of acceleration in terms of tech adoption, can utilize 3D technology to create and deploy realistic and interactive digital representations of structures and buildings. Manufacturers can also utilize technology for creating realistic product designs. Virtual models can also be used in AEC to collect valuable data and real-time info about structures and buildings. This way, construction becomes more efficient and models of structures and designs of buildings are easily presented and even easier to understand. As the industry of construction is fragmented and consisted of multiple teams working together on a single project, simple and smooth cooperation from the start to the very end is crucial.
