Photo-Based Construction Inspection Company HeadLight Raises 25 Million Dollars

The leading photo-based inspection technology company HeadLight announced on June 11th that it secured 25.6 million dollars in series B funding. The funding infusion came from Viking Global Investors, an investment company managing more than 30 billion dollars in investment capital. HeadLight provides support for construction companies, providing an easy way to interpret, capture, and use data in the field to improve the overall safety as well as save time and money on photo-based inspection data.

HeadLight Raises 25 Million Dollars in the Trillion Dollar Infrastructure

Companies such as Jacobs Engineering, Contra Costa Transportation Authority, and customers like the State of Louisiana are relying on HeadLight to save time and money and provide accurate field data that could improve the general efficiency in construction. HeadLight, formerly known as Pavla Systems, is looking into expansion with the latest funding round to meet the growing demand and develop and scale products to fit the need for accurate photo-based inspection for infrastructure construction professionals.

HeadLight Saving Billions of Dollars to the Industry of Construction

As the co-founder and CEO of the company, George White, stated on the occasion, billions of dollars are wasted year-to-year during the infrastructure construction. Delays, unnecessary work, and inadequate inspection processes still based on paper. HeadLight is taking the infrastructure construction inspection by modernizing the process of inspection. Providing insights from the field in real-time alongside the photo-based data could become an industry standard in the near future as White suggests.

Preventing Issues Before the Impact with HeadLight Photo-based Inspection

By offering data-rich visuals, HeadLight replaces the traditional inspection of infrastructure processes in construction. Instead of using manual data entry and handwritten notes, construction companies can rely on photo-based data to increase efficiency and safety. As a result, issues can be prevented before a potential impact on project delivery.
