Working on a housing development project around 20 miles from Amsterdam, The Living came to an idea to propose the use of algorithms for building designs. The research group based in New York created an algorithm that could support evaluation and layout. With this algorithm, there is also a possibility to refine buildings. With the help of this algorithm, designers can consider less obvious solutions. These solutions are related to the ratio between making a profit as a construction company and providing designs that would respond to the requirements of housing development.
