Despite the fact that many cities in the United States are connected with networks of rails, trains are suffering from under-investing in the US. There are so many scenic areas that could be traveled across in trains; however, trains are rather slow in the current state which would make these journeys long and even exhausting. Many areas would benefit from high-speed rails outside the sightseeing and touristic concepts, so will the US get to use high-speed rails any time soon?

Florida High-speed Rails: Virgin Trains, Brightline
Brightline already started a rather sophisticated rail service at favorable and reasonable prices, connecting Miami, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale. The service is planned to go through an expansion and connect these cities with Tampa Bay and Orlando. Given the fact that Florida has rather busy traffic, a fast railroad would be more than welcome addition to the transportation systems of this area.
High-speed train from Las Vegas to Southern California
Virgin Trains acquired the project to set up a high-speed railroad connecting Las Vegas to Southern California. At the same time, the project is one of the rare construction plans involving trains and railroads that have a fixed start date. That is how this project may be an interesting and fast way to come from Las Vegas to Victorville. The last station, Victorville, is far beyond the Los Angeles metro station, so it yet remains unclear how many people will ride the train once the high-speed rail starts to operate.
Portland-Seattle-Vancouver Rail: Will There Be a High-speed Train?
If you are riding any train in the Pacific Northwest or going from Portland or Seattle to Vancouver, you are in for a fantastic view, moving barely above 80 miles per hour. In case you are not in for the scenery you can agree that the actual route wouldn’t take more than an hour riding a high-speed rail. There are still no concrete plans on investing in such rails, however, there are optimistic rumors that high-speed rails may soon become a thing on this route.
