Previously, all construction companies that couldn’t meet the requirements for the exempt had to place a halt on all their projects. With COVID-19 pandemics taking a toll on the wider demographics in the United States, the administration of Governor Tom Wolf considered it would be for the best to stop all construction work, which included the work in progress as well. After a month under the halt, Wolf’s administration has released guidelines on resuming all construction work in Pennsylvania.

Construction Work Resuming in Pennsylvania
With the first day of May, construction workers operating on projects and sites in Pennsylvania will be able to get back to work. All construction work is being resumed with the decision of Governor Wolf, with the claim that previous measures flattened the curve. As Governor Wolf stated, construction businesses are essential for the industry and the economy in Pennsylvania. However, strict measures that were previously on the force needed to be taken to protect the public health. Previously, Governor Wolf ordered a general halt on construction work. The exempt included only those projects and operations that have a life-sustaining significance. Now that the situation with COVID-19 is taking a break, Pennsylvania will be opening construction sites on the 1st of May. The released guidelines should serve as protocols for construction activities as well as represent general guidance for commercial, public, and residential construction projects.
When Will the Rest of the US Open Construction Sites?
Some states may follow the example of Governor Wolf and decide to resume all construction work. Construction is one of the biggest industries in the world and in the US, which is why it is in the general interest to resume all construction work as soon as possible. However, officials won’t be able to resume construction unless the stats show improvement in the number of people infected by COVID-19.
