The first place on the top list of 400 contractors went to Bechtel with 21.8 billion dollars in total revenue for 2019. Following, the rest of the list of the top 5 contractors for 2020 was occupied by AECOM, Kiewit Corp., Whiting-Turner, and The Turner Corp.

Collective Revenue in the US Construction Over 414 Billion Dollars in 2019
Collective revenue generated by the top 400 contractors in the US is set at over 414 billion dollars for 2019. The latest report made by the ENR emphasizes that the total revenue for the top 400 contractors is up by 5.1% when compared to 2018. Projects based in the US that were conducted by these contractors brought 387.85 billion dollars with international projects weighing 26.53 billion dollars for 2019. The revenue for projects outside the country is down by over 26%.
Some of the Top 2019 List Contractors Didn’t Report Earnings to ENR
Contractors Granite Construction and Fluor Corp. ranked as the 24th and the 2nd place on the top list of contractors by revenue for 2019, didn’t submit earning reports to the ENR for the 2020 list. The reason n behind this case as ENR reports is the internal audit both companies are conducting after the SEC questioned financial reports submitted by both contractors.
Bechtel Number One on ENR List for 2020
Bechtel made the greatest contribution to the collective revenue for 2019, while the company is also ranked as the 14th top privately owned company across numerous sectors and industries. Bechtel also had a few notable projects during the last couple of years, which includes 11 billion dollars-worth Liquefaction project in Texas.
